Title: Torrent Client
We no longer advocate using uTorrent as the client of choice.
It's highly recommended to use qBittorrent with PD torrents.
Almost all uTorrent versions tested (so far) will either:
- crash at start without even loading a torrent file
- crash due to extreme memory usage after just a few %
- have endless Disk Cache Overload issues causing downloads to crawl
The current qBittorrent version will download the current complete EXTRAs torrent content (the most extreme torrent we currently have) without issues. |

Title: A friendly reminder!
The staff of PD would like to remind everyone, potential new signups and current associates alike: The PD rules explicitly disallow usage of VPN/proxy connections to the site and tracker. This is very clearly stated on the initial rulesheet that all members are required to read when they sign up. Please, if you use them, disable these services before you fire up your client for some PD-style bittorrent goodness, and we won't have to have a future discussion from the shitlist!

Title: Folding@Home Incentive Scheme
After a long period of absence on my part, all contributors to the F@H Incentive scheme should have received bonuses due to them for folding done between October 15th 2011 and April 1st 2012. The registration, table updates and awards should now be fully automated.
I've also added a Top 10 Active folders list to the Extra Stats page so that you can see just how much upload credit some members have been getting from this.
